October 2025 — San Diego MLS (SDMLS) is proud to announce our role as a founding partner of the Global Data Exchange (GDX) — a groundbreaking effort to simplify and unify real estate data sharing across international borders.
The initiative was officially launched at the 2025 International MLS Forum in Toronto, where SDMLS joined a select group of global leaders to sign the GDX agreement and help set a new standard for cross-border collaboration in real estate.
The GDX is designed to make it easier for MLSs around the world to share property data securely, accurately, and efficiently. Built on RESO standards (Real Estate Standards Organization), including the RESO Web API and Data Dictionary, the GDX creates a shared infrastructure that:
Reduces the need for costly custom integrations
Speeds up technology adoption
Enables consistent, standards-based data exchange
Facilitates international property discovery
As one of the five inaugural signatories, SDMLS joins:
Stellar MLS (USA)
Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (TRREB) (Canada)
SNPI (France)
ADRES (Abu Dhabi)
Together, these organizations represent a global commitment to improved data access, tech innovation, and real estate industry collaboration.
Held September 25–26, 2025, in Toronto, the International MLS Forum hosted more than 300 attendees from over 20 countries and 130 organizations. Key highlights included:
Launch of the Global Data Exchange (GDX)
Certification milestones for SNPI and ADRES using RESO standards
23 sessions and 57 speakers covering topics like AI-powered MLS tools, data trust frameworks, and international licensing models
Future forum locations announced: Abu Dhabi in 2026 and Prague in 2027
