SDAR President and Advocates Lament Inequities in Local Housing

San Diego’s black residents already had the lowest homeownership rate in the region compared to other demographic groups, even before COVID-19. SDAR President Carla Farley was interviewed this week for a Union-Tribune article outlining the inequities and hardships faced particularly by San Diego's black residents in housing, in which she said the problem is "catastrophic" and "dire," and not something that happened overnight.

Farley this week also participated in a virtual forum on the topic sponsored by Rise San Diego, designed to move the process from ideas toward action and policy recommendations. View the video discussion.
