Sweeping MLS Changes Approved by NAR Will Take Effect January 1

The National Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors approved six recommendations for the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) designed to create transparency for consumers and bring consistency in services for brokers nationwide. The policy changes ensure that listings are not excluded from search results based on the amount of compensation offered to buyer agents, and reinforce that buyer brokers do not represent their services as free.
