Reports Say Affordability in CA "Improves Slightly" ... But Not in San Diego

While the percentage of California home buyers who could afford to purchase a median-priced, single-family home inched up at the end of 2021, that's not the case in San Diego. In California, home price growth has become more temperate as household incomes increased in the fourth quarter of 2021, according to the California Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.).

But news that San Diego surpassed San Francisco on the list of metro areas with the fewest affordable listings puts a damper on some of the optimism for locals. Affordability in San Diego County was unchanged.
