The RMS Program is a cutting-edge certification, created by local real estate and legal experts, to help REALTORS® enhance their industry knowledge, execute better transactions and reduce their exposure to risk. The foundation of the RMS certification is the completion of courses that focus on risk mitigation. All courses are DRE-approved and accredited and will be offered through Risk Management. Membership in the RMS Program includes many benefits, such as a 10 percent discount on selected SDAR classes and seminars, as well as on the purchase of transaction forms for RMS in paper format from SDAR's REALTOR® Stores.

Program Requirements

  • A member in good standing of NAR.
  • Complete the Conquering Contracts course before applying for membership, or within six months after application.
  • Complete the remaining 28 credits of courses within two years.

The following courses must be taken every two (2) years to maintain your RMS certification:

  • Conquering Contracts
  • When in Doubt...Disclose, Disclose, Disclose!
  • 26 Ways to Avoid Lawsuits

Dues

  • The initial application fee and first year of RMS Program dues is $125.
  • Annual dues for subsequent years is $99.

RMS Course of Study

RMS Program members must complete nine fully accredited courses. The RMS Education Card represents a 10% discount off the individual course fees. Additional classes may be added to this program to maintain the integrity of its purpose, which is to bring REALTORS® up-to-the minute information and reduce liability through practical education.

RMS Education Card

SDAR offers an RMS Education Card for RMS courses offered through its Education and Legal Departments for $715, which is a 10 percent discount off individual class fees. Contact SDAR at (858) 715-8041 for information.
