New state law affects purchase of title and escrow during foreclosures

A new state law (AB 957) signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger in October prohibits a trustee or beneficiary who acquired a property through foreclosure from requiring a buyer to purchase title and escrow services of the sellers choice as a condition to receiving offers or selling the property.
