Congress recently approved a continuing resolution to fund the government for 45 days, including an extension of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) through November 17. With nearly 5 million property owners nationwide who rely on the NFIP for flood insurance, an extended lapse would threaten 1,300 real estate transactions each day.
