6. Risk Management Specialist ™ (RMS) Program. 17. REMC. Since 1991, the SDAR Real Estate Mediation Center has been resolving residential and commercial real estate disputes. SDAR members and clients receive a 25% discount on hourly fees.
18. Arbitration. Per the NAR Code of Ethics, REALTORS® are required to settle monetary disputes with other REALTORS® through arbitration at the Association.
19. Professional Standards Hearings/Code of Ethics. When a REALTOR® allegedly violates the Code of Ethics, a complaint may be filed by a REALTOR® or by a member of the general public. SDAR’s Risk Management department handles this process at no cost.
